Shaw Pong takes on a select number of values-aligned composition commissions/collaborative projects per season
“Shaw Pong was so captivating. The children were mesmerized by her performance and she did a great job engaging them in learning Chinese vocabulary and answering questions. Her violin skills were incredible and we were transported to China through her stories. We had two year olds in the audience and they sat for the whole 45 minutes!”
“Shaw Pong is a pleasure to work with. She has the unique ability to be both extremely collaborative and independently self driven. She deeply considers her work’s meaning and will go the extra mile to make sure it is executed and presented in a way that maximizes its impact. If you have the chance to work with her I highly recommend you take it.”
“Shaw Pong kept even the youngest audience members engaged without losing the interest of the adult attendees. It is rare for a program to truly have intergenerational appeal, but Shaw Pong’s Lunar New Year Celebration pulls it off brilliantly.”
Testimonials from past clients:
“We knew we could trust Shaw Pong to elevate the experience, and she did. It was stunning! Her gorgeous music set exactly the tone that we wanted. So many people commented on how beautifully the music invited them into the space and the experience.”
